Developmental Dynamics

Developmental Dynamics provides an international forum for the exchange of novel and significant information gained from investigations on the mechanisms controlling morphogenesis. Representative topics of interest include:

  • Morphogenesis
  • Pattern formation
  • Tissue organization and repair
  • Transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of diverse biologic form
  • Stem cells
  • Regeneration
  • New methods for the visualization of molecular, cytologic, and ultrastructural aspects of dynamic developmental processes
  • Gene and protein expression patterns
  • Cell-cell signaling and cell-matrix interactions
  • Genetic and molecular probes for the study of cell lineages and developmental pathways
  • Transgenic approaches for studying the control of tissue- and organ-specific gene expression
  • Mathematical models of morphogenetic processes

Developmental Dynamics publishes both brief and comprehensive research articles, topic review, hot new techniques, expressions patterns, mutant phenotypes, book reviews and meeting reviews. The section entitled Patterns & Phenotypes highlights important descriptive studies, especially those illustrating gene and protein expression patterns, as well as phenotypes resulting from mutagenesis or gene mis-expression. Topic reviews are fully peer reviews and comprise both short perspectives and longer comprehensive reviewson timely topics, and they present critical syntheses, innovative thinking and new approaches to problems in development at every level of organization.
